Duffy Electric Boat Company is a Newport Beach, California builder founded in 1970 by Marshall "Duffy" Duffield, and one of the longest-established makers of electric boats. It specialises in slow-speed, canopied displacement cruisers for sheltered bays and lakes rather than performance craft, and its boats are a familiar sight on Newport Harbor. The current line includes the Sun Cruiser 22, which uses a 48-volt system and Duffy's Power Rudder assembly that combines motor, rudder and propeller for close-quarters handling.
