Axopar AX/E 22
Axopar · Electric
Price on request
The Axopar AX/E 22 is the smaller of Axopar's two fully electric AX/E models, built on the same twin-stepped V-hull as the conventional Axopar 22 range. A single Evoy Breeze outboard and a 63 kWh battery give it a 36-knot top speed, DC fast charging, and the choice of an open Spyder or weather-protected T-Top layout.

Evoy Breeze outboard, published by Axopar as "120+ HP"; 90 kW continuous / 137 kW peak per marineindustrynews.co.uk (11.09.2024), independent of Axopar's own HP-only figure. Single 63 kWh Kreisel battery with patented immersion cooling. Range: 60 nm or 10 hours at 5 knots (recorded here), falling to approximately 17 nm at 25 knots cruising — Axopar's own two reference points, eight times apart, the same shape of gap as the EZ 28's range curve. DC fast charging at 120 kW or 150 kW reaches 80% in 50-60 minutes (recorded: fastest, 50 min) and a full charge in 1h20 (120 kW) or 1h10 (150 kW); plug is 400 VAC via a transformer. AC charging: 40 kW three-phase (63 A, 400 VAC) full in about 1h24; a standard 6 kW single-phase (32 A, 230 VAC) domestic-style connection full in about 9h25 — recorded here as the standard charging_time_hours. Available in Spyder (open) and T-Top (weather-protected) configurations, both on the same hull as the conventional Axopar 22. Price: no figure published by Axopar itself; €133,500 "from" is the lowest dealer quote found (Rockstar Yachts), with specific in-stock units seen at €161,250-€165,000 from other dealers — treat as a dealer asking price, not a builder MSRP, same caveat as the Helios marketplace prices.
What a buyer should know
Reading the numbers
The AX/E 22 pairs a 63 kWh battery with a single Evoy Breeze outboard, rated by Axopar as "120+ HP" and independently reported at 90 kW continuous, 137 kW peak. Top speed is 36 knots. Range is the defining fact to get right before anything else: Axopar's own two reference points are 60 nautical miles (or ten hours) at 5 knots, falling to roughly 17 nautical miles at 25 knots — an eightfold swing between an economy cruise and a fast one, the same shape of gap this catalogue has already seen on the Crooze EZ 28 and the Helios Omega 7.2. Anyone pricing this boat against a planing-speed use case should ask for a range figure at the speed they actually intend to run, not the 60 nm headline.
Fast charging, if you have the supply
DC fast charging reaches 80% in 50 to 60 minutes on a 120 kW or 150 kW charger — unusually quick for a boat this size, and the figure that does the most to offset the modest range. A home or marina connection is a different story: a standard single-phase 6 kW supply takes roughly nine and a half hours for a full charge, and even a three-phase 40 kW connection needs about an hour and a half. The gap between those two numbers is worth asking about before ordering: a fast public charger near the home marina changes this boat's character considerably more than the battery size does.
Two configurations, one hull
Spyder and T-Top are the same twin-stepped V-hull as the conventional, petrol Axopar 22 — Axopar's own description of the AX/E 22 is "the next evolution" of that platform rather than a new design, which is a reasonable basis for confidence in the boat's handling even before an electric-specific test is available. The open Spyder suits watersports and warm-climate use; the T-Top adds weather protection for a boat likely to see more varied conditions given its silence and short-trip character.
A real finalist, in good company
The AX/E 22 was a finalist in the 2025 Gustave Trouvé Awards, "Production Electric Boats: Up to 8m / 26ft" — the same category the Helios Omega 7.2 went on to win that year. A finalist place among 122 nominated boats, judged by an international panel representing the major electric-boat associations, is a genuine credential; it is not the same as winning, and should not be read as one.
What is missing, and what to ask
Axopar publishes no weight, no passenger capacity, no CE design category and no price for the AX/E 22 anywhere on its own site — all four are published for plenty of other boats in this catalogue, so their absence here is the builder's choice, not a research gap. Dealer listings for specific, presumably optioned, boats run from about €133,500 to €165,000, which is a wide enough spread that it says more about configuration and currency timing than about a base price — get a written, dated quote for the exact configuration before treating any number here as current.
Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
