The Van Vossen E-Sloep is a Dutch aluminium electric sloop, hand-built to order in lengths from 5.0 to 6.5 m — a low, open day boat for quiet inland water, from a yard that cuts and welds its own hulls.
The numbers
An Arka electric pod of 1 to 4 kW drives it (an 8.8 kW option on the larger sizes), on a LiFePO4 battery of 10 kWh, rising to 20 kWh on the 6.5 m version. Van Vossen publishes speed in km/h only, so a knot figure is left out here, and prices are quoted on request. Aluminium hull.
